Day 3

Day 3 went pretty well.  The crunchy flax cereal was not a hit at breakfast, but I think I can work it into some granola now that we can have oats.

For lunch we packed a slice of turkey, popcorn cake (which he didn’t like), pears, carrots, and juice.  He ate most of it.

Supper was the best.  I made spaghetti with separate corn pasta for him, which is actually very good.  He wanted macaroni instead of spaghetti, and he cleaned up his plate.  Even his corn.  It’s the most he’s eaten in several days, and today will have leftovers for school, which should go over well.  His teacher helps him warm his leftovers in the microwave, so having a hot lunch is possible.

I also found some safe corn flakes at our local grocery store; previously all of the cereals that met the needs of this diet were manufactured in a plant with peanuts, and so ruled out.

So far, so good; it’s been going better than expected.
